The famed production house AVM’s coveted 1947 release ‘Nam Iruvar’ has been selected for screening at the International Film Festival in India at Goa, beginning later this month.
The movie produced by A.V. Meiyappa Chettiyar was released in 1947. It had a story with patriotic theme with lyrics penned by poet Subramania Bharathiyar. T R Mahalingam played the lead role in the movie.
AVM Balasubramaniam, son of the legendary producer, would represent the production house during the screening of ‘Nam Iruvar’ at the film festival.
