Actress Sruthiraj survived a close shave when she was shooting for 'Iyakkam', directed by Sanjay Ram.
Sruthiraj, who acted in movies including 'Mandhiran' and 'Jerry', was washed ashore by a huge wave when she was shooting in a coastal area in Chennai Thursday.
Last evening there was an unexpected advent of rough sea in Chennai coastal area, where the shooting was held. Sruthiraj had almost lost her control but was fortunately saved by the local fishermen, who pulled her out of sea. She was rushed to a hospital immediately.
Sruthiraj, according to the hospital sources, is now out of danger. The shooting was cancelled on Thursday evening and will resume shortly.
