It was a memorable and one of the rare occasions in Kollywood. It was a function that witnessed the gathering of leading young stars on the same dais. Vijay, Suriya, and Silambarasan attended the audio launch function of 'Indiralogathil Na. Azhagappan', along with Cheran and Parthiban.
The highlight of the function was that the audio was released in the presence of the children from Little Flower School (a school for children with visual as well as hearing impairments). The children were thrilled to be with the stars.
Vijay’s presence came as a surprise, as his name was not figured in the invitation. But he made it a point to attend the function to honor the personal request of the producer Manikkam Narayanan.
Suriya expressed his admiration for Vadivelu, who came up in the field through hard work. “Initially he was doing small and sundry roles for his survival. Now a film becomes hit if he dons just a small role in the film”, said Suriya.
Cheran, the hero of the other function held in the same complex (audio release of 'Pirivom Santhipom' in which he plays the lead role), came to this function and rendered a few words in praise of Vadivelu.
Parthiban heaped laurels on Vadivelu. He also praised the awesome sets created for the movie. Silambarasan attributed the success of Vadivelu to his dignified approach. “He has never insulted anybody in the name of comedy”, said the young hero.
Director Thambi Ramayya gave a brief account of the film, while sharing his experience with the making of this film featuring Vadivelu in three different roles.
Vadivelu thanked everyone for their complements and support. He shared his experience of handling the mythological characters in his inimitable style.
The songs that were screened in the function were tuneful and spectacular, to say the least. Music director Sabesh Murali and art director Thotta Tharani have done wonders.
The film is slated for Pongal release.
